As a Technical Senior Manager, you will be joining our senior leadership team to oversee all technical aspects of our software development projects, advise clients and work with PMs and Tech Leads to make sure projects are on track. You`ll play a key role in the success of MVPs and apps from a variety of industries, for clients from all over the world, start-ups and corporations. Who you will be working with: 

You will be the go-to person for the technical department and have ownership of your tasks. You will work closely with the CEO and CTO, provide support for Project Management and Technical Leads, and help the Company's growth.


The role

As a Technical Senior Manager, your role is multifaceted. You`ll play an active part in the development of projects, teams, individuals and client relations.


What you will be doing:

Client relations:

- acting as a technical liaison for existing clients and supporting the CTO on technical discussions with prospective clients

- researching, discussing (during discovery calls) and finding together with the development team the best technical solution for each project - this includes explaining technical decisions to clients and acting as an overall technical advisor for client projects

Technical management:

- reviewing technical specifications and making sure specs are clear and comprehensive

- having regular meetings both with internal and external development teams to discuss progress, challenges and provide feedback

- having a good overview of all ongoing projects and actively working with the team leads to tackle threats, delays or blockers - this includes making important, informed decisions when a project hits a significant roadblock



- working closely with the development teams to implement coding best practices, methodologies, processes and tools that make collaboration and coding more efficient

- keeping up to date with industry standards and researching new technologies that could improve business operations 

- creating internal documentation to capture process improvements and learning points

- providing expert guidance and support for developers, including implementing a learning & growth strategy for technical team members

- overseeing the hiring process of new developers and recruitment efforts for software talent


What you will NOT be doing:

- writing code

- doing code reviews

- day-to-day project management - organizing tasks, sprints, backlog etc

- deciding alone on business matters


- you have a background in software engineering with at least 5 years of hands-on development experience, including working with servers

- you have at least 3 years of experience in leading software development teams in an Agile environment

- you led a team of at least 8 engineers and have strong project management & people skills

- you transitioned from hands-on development to a more client/management focused position and you are looking to grow even further

- you have hired and/or mentored developers in the past

- you previously worked in a software outsourcing company or are very familiar with this environment

- you have very good client management skills and a proactive attitude towards helping, supporting and advising clients

- you are fueled by a growth mindset and have excellent work ethic

- your English is amazing and your emails read like highly optimized code: clean, precise, flawless.
