[Remote] We’re looking for an experienced manual software tester who can catch the most tiny, subtle, edge case bugs. Our ideal candidate is an organized, eagle-eyed professional with enough experience to ensure our software is fully functional and bug-free before release. You’ll be joining a passionate, close-knit team, ready to deliver high quality software together.

You’ll also get the chance to work on complex projects for a variety of international clients and industries, so you’ll never get bored;)

As a software tester you need to have: 

  • Strong computer knowledge: 
    • Knowledge of what a website is and how it works;
    • Comfortable using a terminal for executing scripts or reading logs;
    • Comfortable using browser tools to read console errors, cookies etc.; 
    • Comfortable looking into SQL databases;
  • 2 years of work experience as a software tester;
  • Knowledge of QA applications, tools, concepts and methodologies;
  • Organised, methodological with the ability to follow (and create) standardised processes;
  • Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, MySQL;
  • Ability to communicate well in English, both in written and verbal form.

 

These are nice-to-haves: 

  • Experience in developing Web Applications.

 

This is what you are going to do:

  • Work closely with the development team to ensure that proper testing protocols are observed;
  • Manually test new features and improvements before they are released;
  • Document quality assurance activities within our internal reporting repositories (Jira, Confluence etc.);
  • Create standardised QA documentation to streamline the testing process among the rest of the team;
  • Monitor error logs to identify potential bugs;
  • Evaluate bug reports from our customers to identify potential bugs.
